The learning revolution and learning languages - how to accelerate learning Italian

If you have in mind to start and learn Italian by yourself, this might be the right time to do it. We are living the learning revolution, remember?

But how can you learn Italian accelerating your way to it?

In the book Unlimited the new learning revolution and the 7 ways to achieve it, by Gordon Dryden and Jeanne Vos, the authors suggest to take example from the sport, which provides a much better model than many schools.

They talk about eight lessons to learn from it:

1 - All sports achievers have a dream

2 - All have specific goals and they break those goals down into achievable steps.

3 - All sports achievers combine mind, body and action.

4 - They all have vision; they learn to visualize their goal.

5 - They all have passion.

6 - Each one has a coach, a mentor, a guide

7 -  All sports achievers have a fantastically positive attitude towards mistakes.

8 - They all achieve by doing.

On this and the following pages I will talk about all these lessons as they are really useful in order to learn Italian.

Why are you learning Italian?

Many students of mine answer that they are doing it in order to talk to their relatives from Italy. Other say that they just want to learn it because of the Italian guys. A third group tell me that they just want to learn it because of its sound and melody.

A fourth group just tell me that they are passionate of languages and they want to speak as many language they can.

Most of my students were so motivated that they reached their dream and goal of speaking Italian. Some of them are actually married with Italian people.

Before you start and learn Italian you must ask yourself:

What's in it for me?

Take a deep breath and really answer this question.

It might be one of the reasons why my students learn it, or you might have a bigger purpose. Have you done it?

I might like to get to know it. So you are invited to add your comments here.
